NINA HOUSE
Milan, 2019
When you find yourself in homes that have narrow and long corridors, you tend to think of those as elements that waste space unnecessarily. However, it is often overlooked that the corridors are also part of the home and that they too can be useful spaces, furnished with more than just pictures hanging on the walls. An example of this is the entrance to this beautiful apartment in Milan, where a narrow and long corridor acts as a visiting card for the visitor. With a wallpaper on the left and an equipped wall on the right, the corridor gently filters the passage between the domestic environment and the external environment while managing to make the most of its potential.

Hospitalityand harmony.
These were the keywords for tackling this design challenge. Peacock blue elements are combined with white and chestnut wood elements making the environment warm and comfortable. With a play of volumes, the wall that acts as a storage unit frames the blue doors of the coat closet in the centre. The differences in level between the volumes are underlined with the use of wood. Furthermore, no space is made useless: a small bench has been created by exploiting the recess of the piece of furniture, which, placed next to the door, becomes a useful and comfortable element. Finally, the choice of wallpaper, with a cheerful and lively design, warms up the environment, certainly not going unnoticed by the viewer.
